Multivariable control of a magnetic levitation system using closed loop identification and H/sub /spl infin// control theory

This paper treats a three inputs/outputs magnetic levitation system with three electromagnets and a Y shape iron plate as a levitated vehicle. Our aim is to design a servosystem for suppressing natural vibrations of the vehicle. By using closed loop identification, we identify the vibration characteristics of an exact linearization model, and design an H/sub /spl infin// servo controller which can effectively suppress the vibration.
