Analysis and control design of paralleled DC/DC converters with current sharing

The paper presents a general small-signal stability analysis of a paralleled DC/DC power converter system. The framework is specialized in order to include both the "democratic" and "master-slave" current-sharing schemes. Design examples illustrate how to obtain stable current sharing. The authors show how paralleled power converters can become unstable (even when active current-sharing is absent) and discuss the influence of the number of power converters paralleled.
