Numerical results for the transient distribution of the GI/G/1 queue in discrete time

A computational method for the calculation of the transient distributions for the GI/G/1 queue in discrete time is given. Numerical examples show how the time until a system equilibrium is reached depends on the load of the system and on the type of distributions which model the inter-arrival and service times.
