Using a MAM and genetic algorithm to optimize UWB microstrip monopole antenna with FEM and HFSS

The purposes of this work is the design and optimization of a new form of microstrip cardioid patch monopole antenna with frequency-notched behavior intended to reject the 5-6 GHz frequency band for WLAN/WiMAX compatibility purposes.
