A bell-shape pulse generator

A simple circuit for forming the function Y=exp(-X/sup 2//2) is described. The original curve is approximated with three quadratic parabolas using the method of least-squares estimation. The approximation function is generated through analog integration of a linear voltage with appropriate shape.<
