The e-reader has been hailed by many as the "next big thing" in consumer electronics, with 2010 supposedly being the year where sales really took off and e-readers were seen everywhere. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January this year, a plethora of manufacturers were showing their wares and expectations were high. But, 12 months on, the market has changed beyond recognition.
