Testing Telecom devices with an IMS engineering test station

This paper examines some of the issues associated with Telecommunication device characterization and test. First we look at telecom in general, with a focus on ISDN, ATM, and SONET, and the test challenges unique to them. We then review some of the hardware requirements for a viable telecom test system.
