Welcome to ISMAR 2010 in Seoul, Korea. This year's ISMAR already marks its 9th occasion and it seems that mixed and augmented reality technology has finally come of its age, attracting the due attention from the general public. This is especially due to the popularity of the smart mobile devices, it is quite fitting that ISMAR is being held in Seoul, one of the most networked and dynamic place in adopting new information technology and their deployments. Especially with recent explosion of smart phones, Korea may provide a fertile ground for the wide deployment of mobile augmented reality technology on smart phones.
