The analysis and design of a stripline monopulse comparator using equivalent circuits and mode matching techniques

The development of a stripline comparator for the azimuth beamforming network of a phased array radar is described. Theoretical and experimental results are presented to show that, in contrast to the use of equivalent circuits, the mode matching technique has been used with great success in the design of the comparator.
