Experimental investigation of the microwave generator with retarding field that has double-gap cavity

A microwave generator with retarding field which has double-gap cavity was investigated. This device has two modulation areas; the first modulation area is placed between first and second grids and the second between second grid and reflector. The cavity of generator excites oscillations on TEM and E

mode. In such generator electron efficiency can reach up to 30%. This device will be useful as a simple microwave generator and can provide medium and high level of output power.
