Design and research of asymmetric micro-channel cooling system in MEMS-based Microstrip antenna

The microstrip antenna manufactured by MEMS has a few good features, such as small size and light weight. However, the substrate and feeder often have lager energy consumption and the antenna thermal area is small. When the antenna reaching normal power demand worked for 15 seconds, the peak temperation will reach 105°C and could not continue to work properly. This paper simulated the antenna structure and its power consumption to look for the peak temperature region, and designed asymmetric micro-channel cooling structure which is based on the Microstrip antenna array and the experimental data. Simulation indicated that peak temperature decreased by 9% by asymmetric structure cooling system driven by 1.2*10
