News from China-Present and future development of oil-filled, self-contained cables in China

The rapid development of high-voltage oil-filled (OF) paper insulated cables in China since the 1960s is discussed. A historical overview is given, and the structural design of the cables is described. Production technology improvements are highlighted, and future developments are indicated.<
