Simulation of a new priority control method in VP-based ATM networks

Traffic control for ATM switching system is an extremely important and challenging problem. Priority control is one possible solution for realizing the traffic control. In this paper, we proposed a new priority control method in VP-based ATM networks to manage both system and network resource efficiently. We show performance results in terms of the cell delay and cell loss probability in our method through simulation.
