Effect of Using CaCl2 and MgSO4 Compound Reagent Treating Coal-Washing Wastewater and Its Mechanism

Abstract-A new reagent is compounded by CaCl
₂
and MgSO
₄
. It is determined through experiments that the proper mass ratio of CaCl
₂
and MgSO
₄
is 1:1. The optimum technical conditions which use CaCl
₂
and MgSO
₄
compound reagent to treat coal-washing wastewater are determined by the orthogonal experiment. The experimental results in laboratory are proved to be feasible through experiments in production. After analysing, we think that the coagulation mechanism of CaCl
₂
and MgSO
₄
compound reagent treating coal-washing wastewater does not completely comply with DLVO theory. Resulting from many aspects related to each other.
