Impact analysis of financial crisis on Chinas railway with life cycle theory

This paper aims to assess the impact of financial crisis on China's railway. On the basis of seasonal and trend analysis on railway transportation and investment it is shown that, even though the financial crisis reduces the turnover, it makes a great deal of contribution to the investment on railway. Then a macro-analysis on China's railway's life cycle is conducted to predict its possible life cycle curve, followed by the fuzzy recognition, where a membership function is established for obtaining its current life cycle stage. According to this paper, in general term, the financial crisis has promoted the development of China's railway and has accelerated its transition from the growth stage to the maturity stage.
