Development of the OCW Consortium

This paper documents the development of the OpenCourseWare Consortium, from the origins of the OCW concept at MIT and that Institute's early commitment to supporting other adopters of the model, to the rapid growth of the community in the period 2004-2007, to the Consortium's incorporation as an independent entity and current activities and status.
