Rapid Evaluation of Airborne Intercept Radar Detection for Swerling I Targets

A very simple approximation for evaluating the probability of detection of the modes of airborne intercept radars, for use in large scale air engagement simulations, is developed. The approximation has two parameters, the values of which are generated using numerical optimisation. The results are generally applicable to binary integration processing.
