Migration of home information system toward ISDN

The integrated services digital network (ISDN) residential service capabilities that can be accessed through the basic rate interface (BRI) are highlighted. Also presented is an ISDN home information system which would facilitate the evolving as well as developed home product standards. The author discusses wiring alternatives, home information system functional architecture and subsystems, and communication media available for use.<
