Restructuring of the IAS Annual Meeting [From the Editor's Desk]

In his "President's Message" column in this issue (see p. 4), Tom Nondahl reflects on his observations about the 2009 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE) Conference in San Jose. The establishment of ECCE as another venue for the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) meeting was only part of the major change that took place in IAS last year; the other half of the transition was that the IAS Annual Meeting was dramatically restructured.
