The road to common assessment methods

Each time a user relies on an assessment that is done by an external body (either 1

or 3
^rd
party), it should request for standardized methods such as : - Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (IEC 17050) for 1
^st
party assessment, - Product Certification (EN 45011 = IEC 65) for 3
^rd
party assessment, - Accreditation (IEC 17011) whenever possible (for Labs and Certification Bodies). Such methods are effective to avoid test repetitions, and to clarify responsibility borderlines between stakeholders.
