High resolution imaging of refractive index and fluorescent intensity distributions using localized surface plasmons

We report on an imaging system which provides refractive index and fluorescence distributions using localized surface plasmons. We experimentally confirmed that the images of an isolated fluorescent particle reflect the properties of calculated electric-field distribution.
