Virtual manufacturing system

To improve the existing production line and design a new line, we have developed Virtual Manufacturing System by which we can study quickly the IC production cycle time and the IC cost under various kinds of conditions. This system has been used in both the new FAB planning and the renewal of the existing line and has been confirmed to be effective. Moreover, this system is effective as not only the estimating tool of the wafer process development but also the calculator to set the number of KANBAN in the production line.
