320-Gbit/s optical time multiplexing of two 160-Gbit/s channels using supercontinuum generation to achieve high-speed WDM-to-TDM

We experimentally demonstrate multiplexing of two 160-Gbit/s WDM signals to one 320-Gbit/s signal based on supercontinuum generation in a highly nonlinear fiber. Error free operation was achieved after demultiplexing the 320-Gbit/s signal to 10-Gbit/s and less than 3 dB penalty was observed.
