Studies on Ag and Pb doped Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconductors

Superconducting oxide materials with nominal composition Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu/sub 2/O/sub 6-/spl delta// modified with Ag and Pb were synthesized by the solid-state reaction method. The materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction. The transition temperatures are dependent on the heat treatment. The superconducting transition temperatures were observed at 93.4 K and 69 K. T/sub c//sup onset/ was decreased to 91 K for silver and lead substituted compounds.
