A neural network approach to the computation of visual algorithms

This paper presents a method that combines a parallel iterative network for the computation of an early vision algorithm with a connectionist network which is used for the determination of discontinuities in images. Both networks are implemented on a parallel SIMD processor array, the ICL Distributed Array processor.<
