Low cost multiple beam phased antenna array using microstrip Rotman lens at Ku band

The design presented in this research has a wider scanning angle up to ± 45°, compared to that of reported in the literature at this frequency. The side lobe level, however, is slightly worse than expected; this remains the focus of the ongoing research. Additionally, efforts are also underway to extend this research for fabricating a full planar array covering both azimuth and elevation covering up to +/− 45 degrees.
