The study of wave-propagation through a windowed wall at 1.8 GHz

The integration of future mobile communication systems will require a thorough understanding of the transmission properties of building structures. In this paper the transmission of UHF-waves through a windowed wall is studied. To this end a novel simulation approach, based on a combination of a boundary integral equations formulation and the moment method, is presented. The resulting simulations are then compared to a set of measurements, the measurement set-up is described, where good agreement is shown, and some conclusions are drawn.
