Approach to multicriterion optimization of quench performance of superconducting winding

A multicriterion estimation of superconducting winding quench performance is presented, using the computational model. A method of searching for representative solutions based on the weighted min-max metric is outlined and then applied to a quadricriterion analysis of some transient characteristics of superconductivity loss in cryomagnet windings. It enables one to evaluate some optimal values of the working current so as to minimize the resistive zone voltage, a time interval at which the whole winding space will be embraced by a resistive zone and maximal winding temperature.
