Integration of a temperature-tunable InP/InAlGaAs/InGaAsP grating-assisted vertical codirectional coupler filter with an InGaAs pin-detector

A wavelength-selective detector can form an interesting alternative for the more common combination of a detector-array with a spatial demultiplexer for use in WDM applications. In this paper, we report for the first time the integration of an InP-based grating-assisted codirectional coupler filter with a pin-detector.
