Analysis of a zero-voltage-transition DC-DC full-bridge converter

This paper presents an analysis of an optimized soft switching DC-DC full-bridge power convertor topology. Soft switching for all main switches is achieved by using a combination of phase shift control and a zero-voltage-switching auxiliary network. Based on a steady-state analysis of the topology, a mathematical model describing the power converter behaviour is developed. The influence of the auxiliary network design on the operating range, achievable switching frequency and current stress is investigated.<
