Adaptive motion-compensated interframe prediction coding using subjective thresholding of wavelet transform coefficients

A psychovisual image compression method using multiresolution wavelet coefficients for adaptive motion compensation interframe prediction is proposed. It is shown that a higher compression ratio is achieved using this scheme when compared to the existing techniques.<
