Achieving integrity in methods and language

Considers the issues of integrity as presented by software design methods and programming languages. We first discuss the meaning of the term integrity as applied to methods and languages, and present criteria for judging and selecting methods and languages. We then consider the associated issue of tool integrity and the effect that lack of tool integrity can have on the integrity of the delivered system, introduce the concept of process hazard analysis, and present some examples of tool hazards and how they can be mitigated.<
