Two singular experiences performed by Telefonica of Spain, using Hispasat satellite communication. Tele-education and early fire-detection

This paper presents two singular advanced Spanish projects, considered European pioneers within the field of satellite communication services. Both of them are right now served by Telefonica (Spanish PTT) using Ku-band of Hispasat FSS, for mainly public administration; that is public universities and local government responsible for civil protection.<
