S-MRL Distributed Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Localization is one of the critical tasks of the wireless sensor networks (WSN). Many applications such as environment monitoring, location service and target tracking need the sensors' location. In this paper, we propose a novel range-based distributed localization algorithm - S-MRL (sampling and Malguki refinement localization). Our algorithm is simple and simulation results show our algorithm achieves high localization accuracy when anchor ratio is less. Comparing with similar method, S-MRL algorithm performs better in location accuracy.
