An Analytical Approach to Determine the Optimal Resistance for the Three-Series-Resistor Method for Induction Generator Connection

This letter presents a set of analytical formulas to determine the optimal resistor size to be used in the three-series-resistor method of squirrel-cage induction generators connection. The analytical formulation is based on the short-circuit theory of induction machines.
