Crack sizing methodologies using trust region method arising in Eddy current testing

This paper is concerned with performance evaluation of output least square minimization related to an electromagnetic nondestructive evaluation for nuclear power plants. First, our inverse methodology is formulated as a least square minimization based on trust region algorithm. Secondly, the method is applied to a parameter estimation problem for crack sizing using eddy current signals. Equality constraints with Eddy current model and additional fixed interval constraints of unknown parameters are subjected to the nonlinear optimization. Finally, some computational experiments will be demonstrated for various optional features of the trust region method.
