Transforming Tucker's linearization laser rate equations to a form that has a single solution regime

The simulation of the dc linearized laser rate equations, with the Newton-Raphson iterative technique, does not always converge to the desired solution of a positive optical facet power. We introduce modified rate equations that yield the desired solution without user-specified initial conditions.<
