Slot-Loaded Shorted Rectangular Microstrip Antenna for Dual Band Operation

A theoretical analysis of compact slot loaded shorted patch using equivalent circuit concept is presented. By controlling the slot length, the two resonant frequencies f

is tunable in the range of 1.44-1.39 GHz and 4.44-4.39 GHz respectably. By comparing the proposed antenna with the reference patch antenna fed by probe achieved size reduction of 50%.
