Improved consistent estimation of the order of stochastic control systems

A more consistent method of estimating the order of feedback control systems is developed. The algorithm is of the recursive type. Strong consistency is derived under less stringent conditions than those of H.F. Chen and L. Guo (ibid., vol.AC-32, p.531-5, 1987).<
