V I S T High Speed 8 X 8 Bit Multiplier/Accumulator

Digital image signal processing needs Fourier transformation and digital filter which requires many times of multiplication and accumulation. These system consists of arithmetic logic unit and a multiplier. These fast arithmetic processing needs a multiplier able to accumulate products without data transfer between arithmetic logic unit and multiplier, since high capacitance of data bus impedes signal propagation.(3) This paper describes a processor LSI which multiplies and accumulates products with very high speed.
