Direct Time-Domain Measurements of the Pulse Amplitude Statistics of a Fiber Supercontinuum Source

We demonstrate a simple high-brightness all-fiber supercontinuum source that controllably produces amplitude-stable or unstable pulse trains. We present the first direct time-domain measurements of the amplitude statistics of a supercontinuum source in these distinct regimes.
