Energy efficiency improved game-theoretic distributed power control algorithm for best effort services in wireless communications systems

Wireless communications systems have transmitter power control as an essential tool for managing radio resources. Decentralized power control is of special interest and may be characterized as a competition among the communication nodes. This indicates the adequacy of the application of noncooperative game theory concepts to the problem. In this work, we formulate a general framework to the distributed power control problem, derive a power control algorithm and use a simple prediction method to improve its performance.
