Reactive Power Constrained Loadability Limits of Series Capacitor Compensated EHV Transmission Lines

This paper determines the loadability of a 500 kV series-compensated transmission line that are consistent with available var reserves taking into consideration the distributed nature of the line parameters and the effects of load-voltage characteristics and transformer taps at the load end.
