Use of Writable Control Store in Teaching Microprogramming

Oklahoma State University's School of Electrical Engineering uses a minicomputer with a writable control store module to provide students "hands-on" microprogramming experience. This paper describes the nature of microprogramming assignments and presents examples of student microprograms.
