Contact Hysterisis Behavior of Textured Pad Slider in Head-Disk-Interface

The textured pad slider vibration on magnetic recording disks is estimated with different friction force. This phenomenon is studied by simulation of the stick-slip vibration of the slider on touch down height and take-off height measurement at spin-down/spin-up motion. Results show that the head-disk contact hysteresis become smaller as the friction force decreases. The simulation is confirmed through similar types of textured pad slider fabricated FIB.
