Broadband CPW-fed Circular Wide-Slot Antenna with Circular Tuning Stub

A printed circular wide-slot antenna fed by the coplanar waveguide (CPW) with circular tuning stub for wide-band applications is proposed. Results show that the impedance matching of this kind of antenna is greatly affected by the size of the tuning stub and the slot, and the spacing between the stub and the ground plane. By properly choosing the suitable the radius of the slot and the stub, selecting the distance of the centers and tuning their dimensions, designs with significantly enhanced impedance bandwidths are obtained.
