Test Results -Test Method For Determining The Protective Performance Of A Shield Attached On Live Line Tools Or On Racking Rods for Electric Arc Hazards

The paper presents test results and test procedures that served as the basis in the development of a test method used for determining the electric arc heat attenuation factor (HAF), effective heat attenuation factor (EHAF) and mechanical strength of protective devices. Such protective devices, as a shield on live line tools or on racking rods, are used in the industry for worker protection from electric arc thermal and fragmentation hazard
