A Real-Time Video System for Tracking One-Dimensional Movements of Two Objects

A real-time system for tracking one-dimensional movements of two objects (a fish and plastic rod) without encumbering the objects with wires or other mechanical devices is described. Block diagrams of the tracking system and one of its key elements are shown, and design pitfalls enumerated.
