Inferior colliculus unit responses to electrical stimulation: a collicular integration model

When one cochlea is Neomycin deafened and the other left acoustically intact, application of electric or acoustic stimuli produces a more transient response pattern profile when compared with that obtained when either cochlea is acoustically stimulated and both cochleas are acoustically intact. This trend toward a more transient response profile is more pronounced for acoustic than electric stimulation.<
