Multichannel implantable stimulation and telemetry system for neuromuscular control

An implantable stimulation and telemetry system is being developed to extend the capabilities of the authors' present implantable neuromuscular stimulators, by incorporating acquisition of command control and feedback signals from implanted transducers and additional channels of stimulation for enhancing motor functions. While the system is implemented for the primary use of establishing hand grasp capabilities, the modular approach of the design will allow reconfiguration of the system for use in other applications.<
